Two new PlayStyles round out the gameplay changes: Incisive Through Pass, which sharpens target selection on through balls, and Dead Ball, which gives free kicks more curl, pace, and dip. EA also says shooting, heading, defensive positioning, corner kicks, goalkeeper positioning on direct free kicks, and offside calls all got tuning passes, alongside new entrance animations and five signature goal celebrations (Predator, Fist Pump, Flex, Rockstar, Tuxedo).

On top of the season update, FC Mobile is running its 3rd Anniversary Event, a 28-day celebration split into four chapters. The Star Pass includes a 125 OVR Marc Cucurella, the top reward is a 123 OVR Bradley Barcola (12,000 tokens, discounted to 2,400 with vouchers), and there’s a Stellar: Libra Draft featuring cards like a 122 OVR Bobby Charlton and a rare 122 Mbappé. Players who logged in around launch also picked up compensation that included 10,000 Gems and a 116 OVR Džeko card.

Why it matters

FC Mobile has leaned hard on repetitive VS Attack and league grinding for a while, so a genuinely new mode like Gauntlet is a bigger deal than it might sound. The item-limit twist forces you to actually build a deeper squad instead of running the same five cards every match, and Game Plans finally gives mobile players some of the mid-match tactical control console FIFA/FC players have had for years. For a free-to-play mobile sports title, that’s a meaningful step up in depth.
