Crushed in Time Launches on iOS: There Is No Game Spin-off Hits Mobile

Crushed in Time, the meta comedy spin-off of the hit indie game There Is No Game, launched on iOS today, October 19, 2026. It’s a point-and-click adventure built around stretching, pulling, and “yoinking” objects instead of just clicking them, and it’s finally on phones after getting delayed from its original June 2026 mobile window. An Android release is still unconfirmed, so if you’re on Android, you’ll want to keep an eye on the developer’s channels.

    What happened

Draw Me a Pixel, the French studio behind There Is No Game (which has sold more than a million copies), put Crushed in Time on PC back in June 2026, with iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch versions promised for “later this year.” The iOS version showed up on the App Store today, confirmed by PocketGamer and several other outlets tracking the release.

The setup is pure Draw Me a Pixel weirdness: Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson have to travel through the literal development pipeline of a video game to track down Emma, a missing NPC whose disappearance is causing bugs, glitches, and review bombs in the game world around them. The whole thing leans into breaking the fourth wall, something the studio is known for after the original There Is No Game spent most of its runtime mocking the idea of being a game at all.

Mechanically, it’s not a standard tap-to-interact adventure. You grab, stretch, and launch characters and objects around the screen, and the game shifts between 2D and 3D sections as you go. It’s fully voiced, and from what’s been shown off, the humor is doing a lot of the heavy lifting, which tracks for a studio whose last game was basically one long joke about game design tropes.

    Why it matters

Point-and-click adventures don’t get a ton of attention on mobile outside of the classic reissues (your Monkey Islands, your Myst ports), so a fresh one built specifically around touch mechanics like stretching and launching is worth a look if that’s your genre. It also matters for anyone who played the original There Is No Game on PC or console and wants the follow-up without buying another platform.

I’ll be honest, the bigger story here might be the Android gap. Draw Me a Pixel said both iOS and Android were coming back in June, and only iOS actually showed up today. That’s not unusual for smaller studios juggling platform certification on their own, but it means Android players are stuck waiting with no confirmed date.

What’s next / how to get it

Crushed in Time is live on the App Store right now for iPhone and iPad. There’s no confirmed Android release date yet, and the PC version has been out since June on Steam. A Nintendo Switch port is also still pending. If you’ve played the PC version already, the core puzzles and story should carry over, though mobile touch controls obviously change how the “grab and launch” mechanic feels in practice.

    FAQ

Is Crushed in Time connected to There Is No Game?
Yes, it’s a spin-off from the same studio, Draw Me a Pixel, set in the same meta, game-breaking universe as the original.

Is Crushed in Time out on Android?
Not yet. Only the iOS version has launched so far; Android was promised for “later this year” but hasn’t gotten a confirmed date.

Have you played the PC version of Crushed in Time, or are you waiting on the Android port? Let us know in the comments.

I’ve got a soft spot for this one since There Is No Game was such a weird little gem, and I’m curious if the stretch-and-launch controls actually work on a touchscreen or end up fiddly.
