Valorant Mobile Global Release: What We Know

Short answer: there still isn’t one. As of late October 2026, Valorant Mobile’s global release hasn’t been dated by Riot Games. The game has been live in China since August 19, 2025, it just crossed 100 million registered players there, and Tencent showed off an English version of the logo at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne back in August. That’s the strongest hint so far that a worldwide launch is coming, but “coming” and “announced” are two very different things, and Riot hasn’t said either.

I get why this question keeps coming up in search. Valorant is one of the biggest tactical shooters on PC, and a mobile version with actual Riot-level production values would be a huge deal for the genre. So here’s everything that’s actually confirmed, versus what’s just fan speculation dressed up as news.

    What happened

Valorant Mobile launched exclusively in China on August 19, 2025, developed and published in partnership with Tencent. It’s not a straight port. Riot rebuilt the game around touch controls, redesigned the HUD for small screens, and added shorter, mobile-specific modes like quick matches and an arcade queue called Reclaim. There are also maps built just for the mobile version, including Shipyard and Ancient Village, that don’t exist on PC. The hero and map rosters are smaller than PC’s Valorant and have been growing gradually since launch.

The China numbers have been strong enough that Riot keeps putting out press releases about them. Riot said the game passed 10 million daily active players back in May 2026, and by late July it announced the game had topped 100 million registered players in China. Those are China-only figures. Nothing about a global rollout has shipped alongside any of these announcements.

The closest thing to a real signal came ahead of Gamescom 2026. Tencent was listed as part of the event’s “Worlds of Play” exhibition in Cologne (August 27-29), and in early July a social post surfaced showing Valorant Mobile’s logo rendered in English for apparently the first time. That got the community speculating hard about a global reveal at the show. It didn’t happen. Riot and Tencent used the appearance to mark the game’s approach toward its first China anniversary rather than announce anything new, and as of this writing there’s still no confirmed beta, soft launch, or release window outside China.

    Why it matters

Riot’s own executives have been consistent on this point since before launch. Studio head Anna Donlon said in 2025 that China came first and that expansion plans hadn’t been finalized at that time. Publishing lead Dave Shinn pushed back on rumors of a leaked global build later that year, saying any real global version would be announced through official channels, not leaks. Over a year later, that’s still the posture: China is the test bed, and everything else is unconfirmed.

That matters for players outside China because there’s genuinely no legitimate way to play Valorant Mobile right now if you’re not in that region. The game isn’t on Riot’s global platform list, it doesn’t support cross-play with PC or console, and sideloading a regional build is the kind of thing that can get an account flagged or banned down the line. If you see a site offering a “global APK” or early access download, treat it as a red flag, not a shortcut.

    As a developer…

Staggered regional launches like this are common for big live-service games now, and there’s a real engineering reason behind it beyond just marketing caution. A shooter like Valorant lives or dies on server latency and anti-cheat, and mobile touch input changes the skill ceiling enough that balance has to be re-tuned almost from scratch rather than just reused from PC. Running the live test in one enormous, self-contained market first lets a studio stress-test servers, matchmaking, and cheat detection at real scale before opening up regions with wildly different connection quality and device specs. What’s next / how to get it

There’s no global release date, beta signup, or pre-registration available outside China right now, and anyone claiming otherwise is either guessing or running a scam page. The most realistic signal to watch for is another Tencent or Riot event appearance, since that’s where the English logo first surfaced. Until Riot or Tencent make an official statement naming regions and a timeframe, anything you read about a “confirmed” global Valorant Mobile date is speculation. The safest move is to follow Valorant’s official channels directly rather than third-party “release date” trackers that recycle the same unconfirmed rumors.

    FAQ

Is Valorant Mobile out globally yet?
No. As of October 2026 it’s only available in China, where it launched in August 2025. No global release date has been announced.

Can I download Valorant Mobile outside China right now?
Not legitimately. There’s no official global build, beta, or pre-registration. Be wary of any site offering an “early access” or “global APK” download.

Will Valorant Mobile support cross-play with PC?
Riot hasn’t announced cross-play with PC or console, and the China version currently runs on its own separate matchmaking.

Honestly I’d be surprised if this goes global before 2027, Riot never rushes a competitive shooter out of its home-market testing phase.
