Wraith Ops Demo Released: A Pure FPS Experience Focused on Gunplay
After years in development, Wraith Ops has finally landed in players’ hands. Released as part of Steam Next Fest, the demo highlights the game’s core philosophy: stripped-down, mechanics-first first-person shooting.
Gunplay at the Core
Developed by Grassrootz Games and published by Team17, Wraith Ops stands out by rejecting cosmetic-heavy, RNG-driven systems common in modern shooters. Instead, it emphasizes weapon feel, tactical pacing, and raw combat.
So you folks like guns, huh? Well – here’s another behind the scenes leak just for you across a variety of maps.

Demo Content
The demo features a 6v6 Arena mode with single-life rounds across three maps: Airfield, Mall, and Submarine. Developers note that hundreds of bug fixes and refinements have been made since the Gamescom version, resulting in a more polished and stable experience.
Project Journey
Originally known as “Project Wraith”, the game’s journey began in 2019 with its first social media presence, followed by an early demo in 2021. Now, it returns with a matured vision and a clearer identity.
Back to FPS Roots
Available throughout Steam Next Fest, the demo serves as a vital testing ground before the final release. Wraith Ops aims to redefine the FPS genre by going back to its roots—with precision, intensity, and no distractions.
