Goalkeeper Killer: Dr Gamez’s Upcoming Mobile Freekick Game
At Dr Gamez, we never stand still. While Air Shooter Combat continues to find its audience on the Google Play Store, we have been hard at work on our next project — and we are excited to finally talk about it. Goalkeeper Killer is our upcoming mobile freekick game, currently in testing and coming soon to Google Play.
What Is Goalkeeper Killer?
Goalkeeper Killer is a mobile sports game built around one of the most exciting moments in football — the freekick. No full matches, no team management, no complicated tactics. Just you, the ball, and a goalkeeper standing between you and glory.
The concept is simple by design. Freekick moments are universally understood and universally thrilling. Whether you follow football closely or just enjoy the occasional match, there is something instinctively satisfying about curling a ball into the top corner of the net. Goalkeeper Killer takes that single moment and builds an entire game around perfecting it.
The Idea Behind the Game
After shipping Air Shooter Combat, we spent time thinking carefully about what our next project should be. We wanted to build something that felt immediately accessible to a wide audience — a game that anyone could pick up and understand within seconds, but that offered real depth for players who wanted to push further.
Freekick games have a long history on mobile, but we felt there was still room for something that truly nailed the feel of striking a ball. Too many games in this space rely on simple swipe mechanics that feel disconnected from the actual physics of a football. We wanted Goalkeeper Killer to feel genuinely satisfying — where the way you interact with the ball on screen translates into something that feels real and rewarding.
Gameplay and Mechanics
Goalkeeper Killer is built around precision and timing. Every freekick is a puzzle. You need to read the wall, judge the distance, decide on your approach — power shot straight through the gap, a curling effort around the outside, or a delicate chip over the top — and execute it cleanly.
Freekick Precision System The core mechanic is designed to reward skill and consistency. Casual players can enjoy the satisfaction of scoring goals with straightforward shots, while more experienced players can experiment with spin, curve, and power to find more creative and difficult solutions to each scenario.
Goalkeeper AI The goalkeeper is not just a static obstacle. The AI is designed to react dynamically to your shots, adjusting positioning and diving based on where the ball is headed. Reading the goalkeeper and finding the gaps in their coverage becomes as important as executing the shot itself.
Progressive Difficulty Goalkeeper Killer starts accessible and gets genuinely challenging. Early levels give you room to learn the mechanics and build confidence. As you progress, the scenarios become more demanding — tighter walls, better goalkeepers, more precise targets to hit.
Clean Mobile Design Following the same design philosophy we applied to Air Shooter Combat, Goalkeeper Killer is built for mobile from the ground up. Controls are intuitive, the interface is clean, and sessions are designed to fit naturally into the rhythm of mobile play — quick to start, easy to pause, satisfying to return to.
Where We Are Now
Goalkeeper Killer is currently in the testing phase. This means the core game is built and playable, and we are now focused on the work that separates a good game from a great one — balancing difficulty, polishing animations, refining the physics feel, and making sure every element of the experience meets the standard we want to put our name on.
Testing is one of the most important stages of development and one that independent studios sometimes rush. We are not rushing it. Every session of playtesting gives us new information about what is working and what needs attention. We would rather take the time to get it right than ship something that does not live up to what Goalkeeper Killer can be.
What to Expect at Launch
When Goalkeeper Killer launches on the Google Play Store, players can expect a polished, focused mobile freekick experience that respects their time and delivers genuine fun. We are not building a game around aggressive monetization or manipulative progression systems. We are building a game that is enjoyable to play — full stop.
More details about the launch timeline, specific features, and any pre-launch opportunities will be shared here on Dr Gamez and across our social channels as we get closer to release. If you want to be among the first to know when Goalkeeper Killer is available, keep an eye on this page and follow us on Instagram.
Why Goalkeeper Killer Is Important to Dr Gamez
Every game a studio ships is a statement about who they are and what they value. Air Shooter Combat said that we care about classic gameplay, tight mechanics, and respecting the player. Goalkeeper Killer says the same things, but in a different genre and to a potentially much wider audience.
Football is the most popular sport on the planet. A well-made mobile freekick game has the ability to reach players who would never pick up a retro aerial combat title. Goalkeeper Killer is our opportunity to introduce Dr Gamez to a much broader audience — and we are determined to make a strong impression.
Building two games back to back as an independent studio is not easy. But it is exactly the kind of challenge that drives us. Each project makes us better developers, sharper designers, and more capable of delivering on the ambitious vision we have for Dr Gamez’s future.
Stay Updated
Goalkeeper Killer is coming soon to the Google Play Store. Development is progressing well and we are excited about where the game is heading. This page will be updated as we approach launch with new details, screenshots, and information about how you can get involved.
In the meantime, if you have not already tried Air Shooter Combat, head over to the Google Play Store and give it a download. Every bit of support helps an independent studio keep doing what it loves — making games.
We will see you on the pitch. ⚽
